Delaware Magical Wishes Board Presents Check to Give Kids The World
On December 7, 2015, six board members of the Delaware Magical Wishes Association presented a check for $5,590 to Kaylee Rodriguez, Development Manager at Give Kids The World Village (GKTW) in Orlando, Florida. This amount is the result of the group’s annual main event fundraising activities for 2015. The event is held in Newark (DE) each fall to benefit GTKW for all the assistance they have given to area families.
Give Kids The World is a 79 acre resort where children with serious illnesses & their families can enjoy a week-long, cost free vacation to Orlando area attractions. Since their opening in 1986, they have served over 140,000 families. Over 600 from the Delaware / Philadelphia area have been served since 2005 alone. The Delaware Magical Wishes Association has hosted multiple events since 2013, raising over $20,000 to help GKTW continue to provide this valuable relief from hospitals and doctors to children local and worldwide.
Delaware Magical Wishes is an entirely volunteer-run organization, and holds a variety of fundraisers throughout the year; events are listed here and on our Facebookpage fb.com/DelawareMagicalWishes.
We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, so donations can be tax-deductible.
